My Scottish Heritage

The ruins of Kildrummy Castle which was the seat of early chiefs of Clan Mar. It is believed to have been built during the lordships of Uilleam (William) and Domhnall (Donald) I.[3] From: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clan_Mar?fbclid=IwAR3ZPo2ud_eiVtXqxghDjG0iWpVyAtpQnghOZKMXocX7okZeC5JB-HqHZGk

I am from the Erskine Marrs Clan. Scottish ancestor that I found was William Erskine Marrs. He was born in Scotland in 1710 to John Erskine (the 22nd Earl of Mar).

I was adopted at birth. I met my birth mother at age 32. That was one of the happiest days of my life. Meeting my birth mom opened up a whole additional life of blood relatives who welcomed me with open arms.

Over the last year or so I have been enjoying new discoveries through Ancestry.com. I took the DNA test along with my birth half sister and we are finding all kinds of interesting and exciting people we are related to.

I have decided to explore my Scottish heritage because of the very interesting Erskine Marr ancestors. As you can see below I have other ethnic background that I will explore over time.
